Performance

Web Site Optimisation has several aspects. Google offers a utility to measure this called Pagespeed Insights.

The aim should always be to get a high score in each aspect, here is an example of some good scores for mobile devices from this very website!

You can click image for more information, but briefly these aspects can be summarised:-

Performance – How fast website loads

Accessibility – Mobile-friendlyness plus catering for visually impaired etc.

Best Practices – Use of Modern Standards that ensure high compatibility with Modern Devices

SEO – Making it easy Search Engines to Index the website

Here are a selection of scores from a selection of our competitors’ websites. As you can see, many claim to optimize for SEO but the actual sites themselves score very poorly on performance!

Red scores (below 50) really aren’t forgivable. If these web designers can’t even optimise their own websites, why should you trust them to optimise yours?

Score Ranges

We will always aim to get your website with all green or high orange scores. But in any case, we would not even consider signing off on a website with any red scores!

Note: it’s not always possible to achieve all green depending on specific website features.
